ABOUT ME

I have had a passion for Chemistry since high school but I did not find an application for this passion until I took an Oceanography class in my junior year of college. Now I am thrilled to study marine chemistry in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner every day. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the scientific process - from field work to lab work to data analysis and presentation. I am also passionate about increasing the presence of scientists in policy-making discussions. In my initial PhD studies I have worked closely with CT DEEP and the EPA to make recommendations for expanded ocean acidification monitoring in LIS. I hope to use the skills gained in my PhD to work as a science policy adviser or research manager.
