Lauren Barrett

Hello! My name is Lauren Barrett. I am in my fourth year of PhD studies in the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Connecticut - Avery Point working in Dr. Penny Vlahos's lab. I am interested in coastal Chemical Oceanography and Biogeochemistry research opportunities. My specific interests are coastal hypoxia and acidification and, more broadly, carbon cycling. My long-term career goals are in science communication and policy. I am hard-working and self-motivated by my love of science and the environment!
